Current & Upcoming Events

Winter Boat Storage - Winter storage starts on Sunday, 18 November.  Any boat, trailer, kayak or dinghy that remains in the yard or or after that date is subject to the Winter Storage fee.  $15 per foot for boats with a beam 8'6" or less.  $25 per foot if wider.  Winter storage applications have been sent out to everyone that paid a fee last year.  A copy of this applicaion is available here:  Winter Storage Application

Shortly after the beginning of Winter Storage, Yards and Docks will be organizing the yard.  The principal storage areas for Winter Storage will be along the Seawaneka Avenue fence and the fence on the southwest side of club property (Junior Clubhouse side).  While the intention isn't to completely reorganize the yard from the currently positioned boats, those boats that have already paid for winter storage and ownership can be clearly identified will receive priority in being placed and secured.  No one other than Yards and Docks should move your boat and if you need to have another member's boat relocated, please contact Mike McNab or Steve Lapp.

A factor that changes this year's parameters for winter storage practices is our intention to earmark the space along the northeast fence for the Rutgers University and Monmouth University sailing teams.  As the college teams sail much later into the Fall and will start in the Spring at the time of club opening, generally speaking we intend to minimize use of that area for winter storage.

Late Date & Penalty - Payments made but not postmarked on or before 31 December 2007 will be subject to a $50 late fee per boat or trailer. Any boat or trailer located on club property whose owner cannot be identified or the storage fee remains unpaid after the conclusion of the season will be considered abandoned. Any item considered as abandoned will be subject to legal action deemed necessary to remove permanently that boat from the club including sale or disposal in accordance with state and local ordinances.
